Warmth, humor, and creativity are at the heart of both who I am and of my therapeutic work with clients.

I believe that both knowledge and action are essential to creating meaningful and lasting change. Linking the past to the present helps us gain insight into the aspects of our lives that often feel beyond our control. Together, we will examine your early experiences and family of origin to understand how these may have shaped your belief systems and how those belief systems impact your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors today. Once we understand how these beliefs and thoughts were formed, we can then determine which belief systems serve you and which would benefit from actionable steps to foster new ways of thinking, shifting feelings and behaviors into patterns that better serve the person you are today.

I see therapy as a place for curiosity, exploration, and self-discovery. Where you can put puzzle pieces together and have "aha" moments that help you create real, impactful change in your life. I have been working in the mental health field for almost two decades, including fifteen years in private practice as a hypnotherapist here in Seattle. My work also included teaching childbirth, parenting, and new parent classes, as well as providing parenting support and education on a broader scale through a podcast and public speaking. It was a desire to form more long-term therapeutic relationships with clients than hypnotherapy or parent coaching could provide that led me to pursue a graduate degree in counseling from Rocky Mountain University

I work with adults who are struggling with parenting, postpartum transition and/or mood disorders, grief and loss, stress, life transitions, perimenopause/menopause, and anxiety. Together we will create a safe space for you to examine the past in order to empower your future, as well as work through the myriad emotions that can exist together in a single space or experience.
While integrating techniques from Adlerian theory, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS), my primary goal is to create a relationship where you feel safe, seen, and heard. I do this through active curiosity about who you are and what makes you, you.
