Lauren Crockett, LMHC | Founder, Clinical Director, & Therapist | Alignwell Modern Therapy in Bellevue, WA

(She/her)

Therapy should be a place where you are totally comfortable being totally you.

My clients know how much I deeply care for them and that is the foundation of our work together. I see the best in them, and they grow to see the best in themselves. We will work together to uncover what might be missing or keeping you stuck by asking the deeper questions, providing alternative perspectives, and challenging you to question the stories you tell yourself. We will collaborate in setting your goals and I will be there every step of the way, encouraging you to meet them by providing accountability and genuine support.

My approach

Clients describe me as warm, humorous, authentic, and direct. My goal is to build trust and safety in our sessions together so that you feel comfortable enough to talk about the hard things. We’ll examine how past experiences may have shaped current situations and what you would like to see change in your life. I provide a safe environment based on empathy, genuine connection, and mutual respect.

During therapy, I rely heavily on using your strengths to show your own resiliency and natural abilities to achieve your goals. I will help you to think about things differently and provide you with the coping skills and tools needed to help you through life’s challenges and the anxiety that comes with them.

Building Alignwell

I started Alignwell Modern Therapy with a simple goal: to build the kind of practice I would want to work in myself. Over the years, I drew from the best parts of every place I had worked, the qualities that made a workplace feel supportive, collaborative, and genuinely good for both clinicians and clients, and brought them together under one roof. That vision grew into a boutique group practice with a team of therapists I'm proud to work alongside, serving adults, couples, teens, and families across Bellevue and telehealth throughout Washington State.

As founder and clinical director, my role stretches well beyond the therapy room. I oversee the clinical, operational, and day to day pieces that keep the practice running, and I still see clients myself because that connection is why I do this work in the first place. I'm also a Washington State approved clinical supervisor, which means part of my time goes toward training and mentoring interns and associate level clinicians as they build their own careers in this field.

Alignwell's approach reflects what I believe therapy should feel like: genuine, collaborative, and never one size fits all. Whether you're working with me or another clinician on our team, you're getting someone who was chosen because they bring that same authenticity to their work.
